Our commitment
Safeguarding
The welfare of every child and young person comes first. A full operational safeguarding policy, named safeguarding lead and programme-specific procedures are provided to families before participation.
Our principles
- Children are treated with dignity, listened to and supported to speak up.
- Teaching, online sessions, communication and photography use age-appropriate boundaries.
- Relevant staff and tutors must complete the checks, references and safeguarding preparation required for their role.
- Concerns are recorded, handled promptly and referred to statutory services when required.
- Images, recordings and testimonials involving a child are used only with appropriate parent or guardian permission.
Reporting a concern
If you are concerned about a child in connection with Zoe’s Lab, contact info@bigzbigw.com and mark the message “Safeguarding”. Do not use the general waiting-list form for urgent or sensitive details.
If a child is in immediate danger, call 999. For non-emergency advice in the UK, contact the relevant local safeguarding service or the NSPCC.
Before a programme starts
Families receive the current safeguarding contact, collection arrangements, emergency process, photography choices and any venue-specific information before the first session.
